The government of Ebonyi state has welcomed the three Ebonyians that embarked on the solidarity trekking yesterday from Government House Abakaliki to Uburu in honor of the huge landmark achievements of the Governor David Nweze Umahi in the state.
Speaking during a press briefing,the Executive Governor of Ebonyi state His Excellency Engr Chief Dave Nweze Umahi who was ably represented by the Hon Commissioner for Youth and Sports Hon Charlse Akpuenika applauded the youths of Ebonyi state for the love and confidence they have shown to this government,he thanked the three men who deemed it worthy of to honor the good governance of the Chief Executive in the state.
The Commissioner noted that this Solidarity trekking they made in appreciation for Governor Umahi's good governance will go a long way to inspire the Governor to do more for his people.
Commissioner said and I quote,"today history has been made and Ebonyi State will continue to respect you guys and celebrate you for this uncommon solidarity shown to our dear Governor"
I promised to convey the message of your safe trip to the Governor.
The leader of the team Mr Godwin Okum thanked the Hon Commissioner for the warm welcome given to them and assure the Governor of his continuity come 2019.
