Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu and the Governor of Ebonyi State and Chairman, South East Governors' Forum, Engr. Dave Umahi have arrived Port Harcourt Road by Asannentu off Port Harcourt/Enugu Highway for the flag-off of reconstruction of Port Harcourt Road in Aba, which has been dilapidated for about 16 years...
It will interest you to know that the road is a federal project but the Governor insists there is no federal person since Abians doing businesses and living there are the ones suffering, hence, State intervention.
Before approaching Port Harcourt Road, there was a brief stop at Faulks road at the Ifeobara axis to show the Governor of Ebonyi what the state has done to recover the Basin.
Engr Dave Umahi thanked the Governor for finding the solution at last. In his words " Congratulation for finding the solution , I remember this area because I have done projects in Aba. I was the project manager at Ibadan Street off Ngwa Road when we worked there for the first time in 1990. Really, this is great"
Abians are happy, at last, Portharcourt road will be delivered by the Ikpeazu led administration.
