BREAKING NEWS: Hon. Prince Prosper Ekumankama Withdraws From The Race

Hon. Prince Prosper Ekumankama Withdraws From The Race for the Local Government Council Chairman in Afikpo South (EDDA) Local Government Area, Ebonyi State. Citing selection and the PDP led State government intention to turn the state into one party state where other parties are not giving equal opportunities to contest, like the forth coming Local Government council elections in the state as reasons for his decision.

His brief below:

THE FACT ABOUT THE 2017 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION IN EBONYI STATE.

  After all the political HARMONIZATION and SETTLEMENTS that happened last week in the state. I have come to the facts that:

1. There was never a time the PDP led Government of the state planned a free and fair Local Government Election in the state.

2. The Harmonization and settlements is not in anyway enshrined in the Constitution of our Country rather party primaries.

3. That the state electoral guidelines and laws have been mocked by the powerful Harmonization and settlements(meaning that the primaries and main polls can actually be harmonized indoor)

4. The people do not have a say in local Government Elections.

5. You must be in the state ruling party to participate in local Government Elections. 

 Before I proceed in my decision, I want to keep the records straight. Assumption is the way of the fools, I have heard a lot of rumors that I have been settled (with money). Of what need will it be to my opponent to settle me when everything about the SELECTION is in his favor? Although I did not allow this speculation(s) bother me because I have bigger things that bother me so much.

1. My supporters: during this time in view, a lot of them called me from within and outside the country encouraging me and praying for me. Well, God answered all our prayers. All we must do is to be patient till the time of manifestation. Though it may tarry but God's time is the BEST. I want to thank you all for supports and solidarity. You all believed in me even when I did not throw money around. I promise by God's grace not to disappoint you in anyway.

     My friends, well you are wonderful. Though some like Judas turned against me but I still want to thank you because those experiences made me stronger, wiser and above all, brought me closer to God. I do not hold anything against anyone, after all it is a game of interest.

    My party, APC I see a bigger and beautiful future in you. Though the beginning may look bad and rough. But the future I see is good. We must resolve all our problems and prepare for this wonderful future that is just at the door post.

 My secret and open campaigners, especially the the generational changers, etc. You guys are good. With you we are sure of a brighter tomorrow.

My wonderful family,hmmmmmm. I lack words to appreciate you. I also want to appreciate my pastors and spiritual directors and prayer partners. God will continue to use you. I want to thank all my FACEBOOK FRIENDS for your love and support. I wish to encourage all of us to continue to pursue Everything that we see our passion in.
