No doubt that God almighty preserved him for a time like this, a time the people will cry to God for a leader, a time when there will be confusion in the country , a time people that are ready to render selfless services for the good of his people will surface.
The coming on board of Deacon Austin Umahi as the National Vice Chairman of People's Democratic Party is a prayer answered by God to Ndigbo, as a God sent who believes that a leader must be a Chief Servant ,pointed out the problems that has been stampeding PDP and South East in general which he started by reconciling all aggrieved members of the party in the zone, defining the target and giving the best possible formula which the party and zone can use in apprehending the flaws and shortcomings of the party in the zone and Ndigbo in general.
Is on record that Deacon Umahi has not lost any battle since his assumption into office as the National Vice Chairman of People's Democratic Party South East, he has not only fortified PDP families in the five Eastern States but has declared the readiness of the People's Democratic Party South East to reclaim Anambra and Imo state back .
His official outings and achievements are as follows :-

3•Deacon Austin Umahi assured the people of Ebonyi State victory in their just concluded Local Government election and as well led them to that victory without losing any Local Government Area to the opposition.
Deacon Umahi,in line with his determination and oath of office on this day and month last year, has remained resilient in restoring the lost glory of Ndigbo especially as it concerns the marginalization of the Igbo under the present administration of APC led government, No wonder during his Press Interaction last week he did say and I quote,"it pains me looking at some Igbos with the high level of marginalization Ndigbo are passing through in the so called diametric and draconian government and then some Igbo people will be proud to say that they are defecting, what are your reasons of defecting".
No wonder his relationship with all the South East PDP Governors is of high esteem because he is an achiever, a bridge builder and most importantly a Victor.
Due to the numerous and resounding achievements and success made by Deacon Austin Umahi within the space of short time in office as the National Vice Chairman of People's Democratic Party South East , H•R•H IGWE SIR DR H•I• EZE (JP) (EZE-AGU, EZECHUKWUDEBELU II OF IBAGWA-AKA KINGDOM) confined on him one of the biggest Traditional title "ANYANWU NDIGBO " meaning the "Sunshine of Igbo People", including two many other Awards of Merit too numerous to mention.
Chief Deacon Austin Umahi remains a leader of our time who has sacrificed the luxuriousness of his office just to make South East a better place again, just to make Ndigbo proud again.
